About Our Use of Google APIs

Page One Portal integrates with Google API Services to provide our clients with a unified dashboard for managing their online presence. This page details exactly which Google APIs we access, what data we request, and how that data is used, stored, and protected.

Google Search Console API

Used to display search query performance, impressions, clicks, and ranking data for your verified website properties.

Google Analytics Data API (GA4)

Used to display website visitor metrics, traffic sources, page performance, and engagement data.

OAuth 2.0 Scopes Requested

Scope	Purpose
`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage`	Read and manage your Google Business Profile, including reviews, posts, and profile details.
`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters`	Read Search Console performance data and submit sitemaps and URL updates when new pages are published on websites we build and host for you.
`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly`	Read-only access to your Google Analytics data for traffic reporting.
`openid`, `email`	Basic identification — your Google email for account linkage.

How We Use Google User Data

We use Google user data exclusively to provide the user-facing features of Page One Portal that are prominently displayed in the application's user interface:

Displaying Google Business Profile analytics (views, calls, direction requests) in your Portal dashboard.
Showing new reviews as they arrive and allowing you to respond through the Portal.
Displaying Search Console keyword rankings and click performance.
Showing Google Analytics traffic data in simplified reports.

Prohibited Uses

Page One Insights explicitly does not use Google user data for any of the following:

❌ Serving or targeting advertisements (personalized, retargeted, or interest-based).
❌ Selling, licensing, or transferring Google user data to third parties.
❌ Training generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models.
❌ Determining credit-worthiness or lending decisions.
❌ Building databases of Google user data beyond what's needed for portal functionality.
❌ Allowing human employees to read Google user data (except under the four permitted exceptions: user consent, security investigations, legal compliance, or aggregated internal reporting).

Data Storage and Encryption

All Google user data is:

Transmitted over TLS 1.2+ encrypted connections
Stored in PostgreSQL with row-level security isolating each client tenant
OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256
Protected by firewall, fail2ban, and SSH key authentication
Backed up daily with 14-day retention

Revoking Access

You can revoke Page One Portal's access to your Google account at any time:

From within the Portal: Settings → Integrations → Disconnect Google Account
From Google: Visit myaccount.google.com/permissions, find "Page One Portal," and click Remove Access.

When access is revoked, we delete cached Google API data and OAuth tokens within 30 days.

Data Deletion

To request full deletion of your data, including Google API data:

Email [email protected] with subject "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
